PAINTING THE TOWN WHITE INSTEAD OF RED PART 2

PAINTING THE TOWN WHITE INSTEAD OF RED - PART 2 — 31/05/2014

Hi everyone! Haven’t been around for a little bit. My husband and I went to a suburb of Detroit, (Royal Oak), over their Memorial Weekend, to help move our oldest son into a sweet house that he purchased. (First-time home-owner). He moved from a house he was renting with 2 other guys, so we stayed in that one with no furniture. We took our own inflatable bed and 2 folding chairs. I cleaned that one while the guys did the moving. There were some dead plants in the flower bed at the new house, so I planted a load of Hostas along the front, as they are very low maintenance, (which a guy needs)! I told him he had to at least water them….we’ll see how that turns out!!!!!!

Before I get into my blog, I threw in some pictures of some lilacs that I actually picked on some vacant land in my area…..I absolutely love lilacs…..How ‘bout you? What’s your favorite flower?

They fill the house with such a gorgeous scent….

Anyway…down to the business at hand.
Last time, I wrote about painting things white to put out in the garden. Well, one piece was painted white, but it didn’t have a home…..(see previous blog)

Found this plate shelf in a thrift store….
And….painted it white!

Now it has a home! (see previous blog on the Crown Royal Bottles)

One more piece I found at a garage sale, was this sweet vintage step ladder. It was a bit rickety, and needed a few nails….
And…painted it white!

Now, it too, has a home in the garden!

Last October I had written a blog about repurposing a small corner cupboard….

It was tethered to a tree. My last sentance was “We’ll see where it ends up next year”. Well, it’s next year, and is now mounted on the fence……

All the plants are trailers. The Petunia is sideways because I’m hoping it will tumble down the back of the cupboard….

(All of these items are brought in during the winter, and stored in the garage).

Well, have a great week…Until next time, Judy
