Happy Monday to everyone! Hope all the Mom’s had a wonderful Mother’s Day yesterday. I did, even though it was absolutely freezing outside! However, my tulips, grape hyacinth and daffodils survived the cold……

We were only 6 for dinner, instead of 12 to 14. Made for a nice cozy dinner arrangement.

I just love having fresh flowers in the house…well, I now have loads, as each of my family gave me an arrangement, my two sons, my husband and one son’s girl-friend…….plus, I had bought some on Thursday when I bought the groceries…..

This sweet arrangement came from my son’s girl-friend. It is a metal replica of a vintage box camera. Without her knowing my colour choice for the table settings, her arrangement complimented the colour scheme fabulously… She purchased this particular one because of the vintage cameras I have on display in a bookcase.

I’ll be able to add this to the collection!

This viberant arrangement of fuchsia dahlias, calla liliies, daisies and freeshia, was given by my youngest son…..

The ceramic jug is one that I bought in a thrift store a few years ago. It is hand-painted with dark violet pansies. I just loved it for the colouring….

These beautiful roses came from my wonderful husband, knowing how much I love having flowers around…

I have a son in Detroit, and he sent a beautiful bunch of tulips. I think tulips are one of my favorite spring flowers.

When-ever I’m out buying the groceries, I almost always buy a bunch of flowers for myself to put on the counter in the kitchen. As tulips are one of my favorites, I had bought some last week…

Every kitchen needs to have a rooster. It is supposed to bring much luck to the cook., and I need as much luck as I can get! This one is a glass dish when you take the top off…

I hope you will all enjoy having flowers in your home. It’s one of the quickest ways to brighten up a room, and brighten up yourselves. They make you feel “HAPPY”…..

Until next time……Judy
