I love a beautiful table.
Since you can’t redecorate every day, setting the table is a great way to play with what you have and to experiment with different combinations.
If I am giving a themed dinner, I collect pieces that will enhance that theme, be it “GLAM”, “FUN”, “HAPPY DAYS”, “SPRING-TIME”, etc…..

A “CHRISTMAS” table just OOZING “GLAM”, with gold, black and all that glitters!

A “CHEERY” table to welcome in Spring.

A “VERY, VERY FUN” table so we don’t think about the two feet of snow outside.

My husband is an excellent cook….invited friends over for a home-made CHINESE dinner, so, of course, the table was set to compliment the over-all theme of the evening.

“Hopping down the bunny trail, looking for “PETER COTTON TAIL”….

Thanks-giving in the US, is much later than in Canada. (It’s getting close to Christmas decorating time). Have a son living in Detroit, came home for his Thanks-giving dinner……Not quite as “GLAM” as the previous Christmas setting, above, (omitted the black). I do love the gold reindeer, so they were brought out early….

A bunch of girls get to-gether as frequently as we can, to play cards one night in the week. Who-ever hosts the card night, also has to make dinner. The girls deserve a pretty table too!!!!! (No paper plates for us).

EVERY DAY needs to have a pick-me-up along with all the special days, even if it’s by adding fresh flowers, which I do on a regular basis.
You don’t have to break the bank either! If you want the flowers on the table every day, the Dollar store is a fabulous place. Even purchasing a vase or place mats will work from the Dollar store too!!!!!

Changing up your table is a quick and economical way to re-decorate, re-style your home. It can change the whole mood of the room. Do what makes you “HAPPY”……

Because I have accumulated packages and packages of paper and linen napkins, I recquired some kind of storage for them. In my first blog,
Storage/Decluttering—25/03/13, I showed you a picture of an antique tin, given by a girl-friend, to me. That has now become my napkin de-cluttering hide-away place.

Enjoy the spring weather we seem to be having today!
Until next time……Judy
